Howdy everyone! Thanks for supporting me and my work and taking the time to read my blogs and visit my store. Even if you don’t buy anything, it makes me feel good when I have a lot of visitors to my posts or store because spreading happiness through art is my main priority in life and the true motivation behind my creativity.

However, every friend and relatives m I showed it to absolutely loved it so I took a picture, made adjustments to fit the design to over 80 products and now it’s available to everyone to enjoy. This design is extremely special to me as I dedicated and drew it for my dearly departed Mother who was an avid cat lover. I inherited her love of cats and feel like no home is complete with one of those magnificent creatures!
A fabulous addition to the “Meow Mandala” throw blanket or comforter would be a couple matching throw pillows! i love that the company that manufactures my line of apparel, home decor and lifestyle items offers FIVE different sizes of the pillows. “Teal Pond” was a truly abstract, fun, don’t-know-how-its-going-to-turn-out painting. Honestly I had t enjoyed creating an abstract painting in a long time so this awakened something in me and I just love it. I’m definitely going to have to order some apparel featuring this design because I recently lost 45 pounds and am all about new clothes right now.
I used a watercolor set by Grumbacher called Translucents that it truly amazing and I had so much fun layering it. This design is available in over 90 products so go check out the store! “Metallic Sunshine” is an abstract acrylic painting on 36 x 36 inch canvas that I did in approximately 2013.
I used Liquitex Heavy Body Paint, Heavy Gloss and Molding Paste so the entire canvas is filled with those sparkling metallic colors and heavy, rich texture that invites the viewer to touch the canvas. It’s almost impossible to admire it without touching it! To this day, I turn down offers for the original and it happily brightens up my living room.

I loved creating this piece. Like most of my mandalas, it is a mixed media work of art on thick, professional mixed media paper. I use all my tools like a compass, angles, rulers, pencils and erasers to create the basic design. Then, with an ultra steady hand, have to trace over the entire design done in pencil with an ultra fine tipped archival pen that is full of professional grade ink that will not fade over time. I chose every ingredient and every part of the design very carefully and usually after much thought. So, we are ending the black and white stage of creation now.
Then, the art comes alive with vibrant, alive colors using professional artist pens in black and colored inks, INK by Liquitex that gets applied CAREFULLY with a tiny brush and the background in this particular piece was done with a fine art quality set of Watercolor Paints by Winsor & Newton, a company that has become masters in their field.
Winsor & Newton have a lengthy and interesting history. Let’s touch on that a bit. In 1832 chemist William Winsor and artist Henry Newton brought together the knowledge of the scientist and the creativity of the artist to offer an unprecedented choice of colour, clarity and permanence to fine artists.
Winsor & Newton pinpointed what was really needed – a regular source of reliable colours and brushes. Winsor & Newton first developed vastly improved watercolours, followed by a number of other innovations including Chinese White, the first durable opaque white watercolour, and collapsible tin tubes for both oils and watercolours.
I’ve loved mandalas for years but had never been good at drawing so I focused my artistic energy on acrylic abstract art and later on took up mixed media as well.
Well, one night my Mom came shopping for art supplies with me and we saw a Mandala book that’s helps people learn how to make them by hand. Knowing how much I already loved mandalas, my Mom bought the book for me and encouraged me to learn from the book. My Mom had always taught me that if you studied and practiced diligently, you could learn how to do anything.
With frequent encouragement from my Mom (learning how to create mandalas was very challenging for me) I finally learned how to make mandalas. My friends and family loved them and I even started selling my art at a monthly art fair in Fort Lauderdale.
When I learned about Redbubble I was thrilled and eager to set up my own store on the site. I uploaded pictures of all my mandalas, abstract art, mixed media creations and a few photographs. To see my art on literally hundreds of products has been a dream come true for me. I offer clothing for babies, children, men and women. Additionally, there is an extensive collection of home decor items and wall art. Lastly, my art is also featured on a large variety of lifestyle items such as phone cases, tote bags, backpacks, coffee mugs and coasters to name a few.
